Brazilian legend Pelé has passed away at 82

Pelé, the Brazilian legend and one of the greatest players of all time, died Thursday. He was 82.

Pelé, who has been described as the greatest soccer player of all time, had a career that spanned more than 50 years. He played for teams in Brazil winning the World Cup three times, and scoring more than 100 goals for his club and country.

In 1962, he became the first footballer to win the Golden Ball award, given to the best player at the World Cup.

His achievements were recognized when he was awarded FIFA’s Golden Ball for being the best player in the tournament.

He played a key role in the creation of the modern game, including the introduction of the offside rule, which was made in 1970.
