Bernie Habana, the father of former Springboks star Bryan Habana, has been arrested for fraud. Prior to his appearance in Randburg Magistrates’ Court, Bryan Habana father was help in detention at the Linden Police Station.

Bryan Habana’s father was released on R1000 bail after his arrest for fraud.

After being granted release on a R1000 bail, a new court date has been scheduled for his appearance.
According to a law enforcement officer with direct knowledge of the investigation, Habana was taken into custody after he was suspected of impersonating a trip booking agent.

Dimakatso Sello, a police spokesman, said, “The suspect in this matter was arrested today (May 30) and he appeared before the Randburg Magistrate’s Court.”

Why Bryan Habana’s father was arrested for fraud?

Reports indicate that the lawsuit against Bryan Habana father was initiated in 2015, and it was anticipated that the state would bring a number of victims as witnesses in the proceedings.

At the Linden police station, the case was started when a woman said she had put money into an account for Habana and his girlfriend, Mbalii Mtetwa.
