Black man barred from entering a Pub in Cape Town

A black man has been barred from entering a Cape Town bar after the owner allegedly told him that he was not allowed to enter the establishment because he was not accompanied by a white friend.

A video of the incident went viral after the pub’s owner was confronted by Christopher Logan the friend of the victim, Thabiso Danca.

In an interview with the SABC, Thabiso said he was stopped from entering Hank’s Old Irish Pub because he was not accompanied by a white friend. He added that the owner said, “It’s because people of color steal and cause trouble when they go inside the pub.”

According to Hank’s Old Irish Pub’s right of admission policy, a black person must be accompanied by a white person before entering the pub.

Racism is still very much a problem in South Africa. Racism in South Africa has been a problem since the country was founded. There are many reasons for this, but the main one is that many people who were brought here by the apartheid regime still believe that they are superior to the natives of the country.
