Ugandan Police officer goes on rampage and shoot money lender
A police constable in Uganda, Ivan Wabwire, is wanted for murder after allegedly shooting and killing an Indian money lender, Uttam Bhandari. Wabwire reportedly went on a rampage after being told he owed TFS Financial Services UGX 2.1 million (560 $). Bhandari was the director of the service provider.
Police hunt for shooter
Police in Kampala are currently searching for Wabwire, who is accused of shooting Bhandari. The police officer reportedly visited TFS Financial Services to verify how much he owed the company. When he was told the amount, he became incensed and began arguing, dismissing the figure as inflated.

Wabwire had been servicing two loans from TFS Financial Services since 2020. The first loan was deducted directly from his salary, while the second was not. He could pay the second loan whenever he had money. When told he owed UGX 2.1 million, he reportedly argued, leading to the shooting.
Wabwire abandons killer gun and goes on the run
After the shooting, Wabwire fled the scene on a boda boda bike and rushed to Central Police Station in Kampala, where he abandoned the AK-47 gun he used. However, police are tracking him and plan to arrest him soon.
