Pitbull attacks on innocent people are on the rise in South Africa. In recent months, many people, including kids, have been killed by pit bulls.
A woman in Port Alfred has been killed after being mauled to death by a Pitbull dog on her way to work.
According to reports, the incident took place on Sunday morning at about 7 AM. The victim was reportedly walking along Alfred Road in Port Alfred when she was attacked by a Pitbull dog.
It’s unclear what led up to the attack, however, two witnesses males who witnessed the attack ran to a nearby security official and reported the incident.
Police spokesman Col Priscilla Naidu said “The woman sustained serious injuries to her face and upper body. The dogs were nowhere to be found. She died before receiving any medical attention,” The matter is currently under investigation by the SAPS.
